A fire raging in my chest
all things change
my soul will catch the wind
and fly away

walking on thin ice
who could know my heart?

The ways of the world are hardly worth fighting for
the vast cosmos is the place to soar

thousands of years are just one morning
life disappears in a party evening

when schemes for profit end
so will the sadness of men

young and handsome
vile and mean
ensnare each other
to gain advantage

burdened with fame and wealth
the wise and foolish
are tied to the selfsame cart

noble but lonely thoughts
will cost you favour
you'll find yourself
mocked by slanderers

when your patrons fall
you too
will be
dragged down

I brandished my sword in the desert battlefield
but now my sorrow is deep
